ABSTRACT This kind of study investigates the causes, consequences and feasible solutions of teenage motherhood. It indicates that socio-economic elements play an essential role inside the occurrence of teenage pregnancies. In addition the study suggests that a range of factors, which includes, cultural norms and specific requirements, impact on the childbearing decisions of teenage females. The study demonstrates that one of the most important negative consequences of teenage being pregnant include losing out of faculty, unemployment, single parenthood and higher amounts of poverty. An important finding in the study is that policies and programmes directed at reducing teen pregnancy costs, and eliminating the adverse consequences experienced by teenager mothers and their children, are unlikely to be fully powerful unless they will realistically treat socio-economic unbalances faced by many young females in South Africa.
DEVOTION I allocate this study to my personal younger child Matthews who also needed my own attention as it was his initially year at University. My spouse and i am pleased with you as a young person who has discovered his own way in every area of your life and I cherish you so much, for all the tolerance you have displayed towards me while I was going through the difficult times of my life in addition to my research. As out of your high school education I was included in my studies, yet you never complained instead you prospered in your own way and became who you are today.
