BACKGROUND

A. Introduction

GTM is not only a new thing in language learning, which can be only slightly different. The name that has been used by language professors for a few years in the past. In historical times this method is called the " time-honored method" of times used in the classical language learning, such as Latina and Ancient greek. At the beginning of this kind of century, this technique is used to assist students in reading and understanding another language books. But it is likewise expected that it can be in learning or understanding the grammar from the desired target language, learners will become even more familiar with the language rules relative to the source language and a deeper understanding of this will additional help them in reading and writing based on the source vocabulary to be better. Finally concluded that it is learning a foreign terminology will help the introduction of students in developing intellectual, it can be known that the learners will never utilize target terminology, but learning is very much needed mental.

A. Classification

The grammar-translation method of language teaching is among the most traditional methods, online dating back to the late nineteenth and early on twentieth generations, It was originally utilized to teach 'dead' languages (and literatures) such as Latin and Greek. The aim of this method shall be able to examine and translate literary masterpieces and classics.

B. Methods

The grammar translation method has nine Techniques:

1 . Translation of a Fictional Passage (Translating target vocabulary to indigenous language) Example:

English language " What is paddle tire? ”

Local Language " Es una rueda sobre paletas”

2 . Reading Knowledge Questions (Finding information in a passage, making inferences and relating to personal experience) Model:

(make inferences based on their particular understanding of the passage) Do you consider the son was ambitious? Why or perhaps why not? (based on their personal experience) Maybe you have ever seriously considered running abroad?

3. Antonyms/Synonyms (Finding antonyms and word and phrase replacements for words or models of words). Example:

four. Cognates (Learning spelling/sound patterns that overlap between L1 and the goal language) Case in point:

five. Deductive Putting on Rule (Understanding grammar rules and their exclusions, then making use of them to new examples) Case:
